Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She is currently a fighter with the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina later won the Silver Medal in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008, a Gold Medal in 2011 and in the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko began career-long MMA profession in the year 2002 after a win over Anara Baanova at the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning in the second round TKO. Her next two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer as she took a prolonged break in MMA. She came back to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used her superior fighting skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed in the wake of this win. Antonina was given the UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first fight. Antonina bounced right back after losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. This fight earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner during her subsequent three bouts beating Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
